Article D141-3 du Code de la sécurité intérieure
La médaille de la sécurité intérieure est décernée et retirée par le ministre de l'intérieur.
L'attribution de cette médaille n'exige aucune condition d'ancienneté. Elle est attribuée dans la limite d'un contingent annuel fixé par arrêté du ministre de l'intérieur.
Les modalités de propositions de la médaille de la sécurité sont fixées par arrêté du ministre de l'intérieur.
