Law No 85-1408 of 30 December 1985 created a specific case of de-specialization (change of use) for certain tenant merchants wishing to assert their retirement rights by inserting Article 34-3-1 into Decree No 53-960 of 30 September 1953, which has now become Article L. 145-51 of the Commercial Code.
