In accordance with Article 1832, para. 1, of the Civil Code, a company can only exist if at least two people decide to associate. However, no maximum number of partners is imposed by law for the formation of a civil company, even though a high number of members seems hardly compatible with the existence of a strong intuitus personae bond.
