Directive No 2005/29 refers to a new category of consumers: consumers “particularly vulnerable to unfair commercial practices” (Recital 19) . These are people whose characteristics, such as age, physical or mental infirmity or credulity make them particularly vulnerable to an unfair commercial practice or the product to which it relates.
