In order to validate tied sales, the trial judges rely on two bodies of rules. In accordance with the provisions of the Civil Code relating to the contract of sale, they have admitted the lawfulness of tied sales when there is an agreement on the thing and the price between the seller and the consumer and the consumer has freedom of choice , contracts that are validly formed having binding force
