470. Best-effort obligation.

Article L. 134-4 paragraph 3 of the Commercial Code provides, “commercial agents must perform their mandate in a professional manner”. They must therefore use all means available to canvass or find new customers, obtain orders, and possibly conclude contracts . However, they are only bound by a best-effort obligation .
