By virtue of the jurisdictional rules laid down in Article 4(1) of Regulation No 1215/2012 of 12 December 2012 , the court having jurisdiction to hear a dispute relating to an act of infringement is that of the Member State where the defendant has his registered office or domicile, even if the act of infringement is committed or concerns a patent registered in another EU country.
