The proprietor of a trademark right may grant a license to a third party to use his trademark. This license may concern all of the proprietor's rights in his trademark, or it may include certain limitations, notably with regard to the goods or services concerned or the territory on which the license is granted (Art. L. 714-1, para. 4, IP Code).
