185. Surrender of rights (renonciation)

The rightholder may surrender the rights to the trademark, for all or part of the goods or services to which it applies, by not renewing it at the end of its term of protection. He or she may also, at any time, surrender those rights by filing a declaration of renunciation to the INPI (Art. L. 714-2 and R. 714-1, para. 1, IP Code) .
