Decisions of the Competition Authority in relation to concentrations were to be appealed to the Ministry of Trade within 15 working days of the decision. Since the April 2016 amendments such is no longer the case: a Competition Appeals Tribunal (CAT) was established in order to remedy concerns raised about political interference in merger control.
