Where the CCCS has made a decision that the Section 54 prohibition has been infringed, or that the Section 54 prohibition will be infringed by an anticipated merger if carried into effect, the CCCS may give such directions as it considers appropriate to bring the infringement to an end or (in the case of an anticipated merger) to prevent the impending infringement.
