Before 2006, undertakings had to notify their agreements to qualify for an individual exemption. In compliance with European law, the 2006 LPCE Act removed the obligation to notify. Since then, Belgian undertakings must assess their agreements with regard to competition law and can automatically benefit from an exemption if they fulfill all the conditions thereof.
