Act No 661/2012 merged the previously independent Finnish Competition Authority (FCA) and the Consumer Agency into the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (FCCA) which has been operative since 1st January 2013. However, the Act did not alter the main functions and powers of the previous FCA.
