The aim of Chapter 4 of the Act is to prohibit the abuse of a dominant position. Section 1(i) defines a dominant position as one that permits one or more undertakings to prevent effective competition by allowing them to behave “to an appreciable extent independently” of their competitors, suppliers, customers and end users.
