The Act of 16 February 2007 on Competition and Consumer Protection that currently governs competition matters in Poland came into effect in April 2007. It replaced the Act of 15 December 2000 on Competition and Consumer Protection. The Act was amended in June 2014 in order to strengthen competition law enforcement. The new rules came into force on 18 January 2015.
