828. Payment of matured debts

While Article L. 632-1, I, 3° of the Commercial Code formally prohibits payments of unmatured debts, because of the legitimate suspicion attached to any early payment by a debtor in difficulty, Article L. 632-2(1) of the Commercial Code goes further and allows the court to cancel payments of matured debts, provided they have been made by the debtor himself from the date of cessation of payments …
