184. Principle

The decisive oath may be tendered on any type of dispute whatsoever (Art. 1385 Civil Code). However, it can only be tendered on a fact personal to the party to whom it is ordered. It may be referred by that party, unless the fact that is the subject of the oath is purely personal to them (Art. 1385-1 Code of Civil Procedure).
