During the trial, a party may challenge the veracity of documentary evidence. The legislator distinguishes between private deeds and authentic instruments (Code of Civil Procedure, Art. 285 to 316). In the first case, it proceeds with the verification of writing. In the second, when the disputed instrument is found to be a forgery, it conducts forgery proceedings.
