The last paragraph of Article 1844-7 of the Civil Code provides that the company may be dissolved due to the occurrence of any cause provided for in the statutes. This may involve an event affecting the company, the partners, or even the managers. The partners can indeed extend the list of legal grounds for dissolution, while taking care not to eliminate those already existing. Such a possibility is conceivable insofar as the company is nothing more than a contract, subject like all others to the principle of contractual freedom.
