Securities issued in France and subject to French legislation are dematerialized, meaning they are no longer represented by a paper certificate. They take the form of registered securities or bearer securities, except for companies for which the law or the statutes require only the registered form for all or part of the capital . Any owner whose securities are part of an issuance that includes both bearer and registered securities has the option to convert their securities into the other form . However, the conversion of registered securities is not possible for companies for which the law or the company statutes require the registered form for all or part of the capital .
