Under Article L. 521-6 of the Intellectual Property Code, it is possible to obtain provisional and conservatory measures in interim proceedings or on ex parte application. Any person with standing to sue for infringement may ask the competent civil court to take such measures against the alleged infringer in order to prevent imminent infringement of his or her rights, or to prevent the continuation of allegedly infringing acts. It may act by way of interim relief, or, if circumstances require that the measure be taken without observance of the adversarial process, submit an ex parte application to the court for urgent measures to be ordered.
