1. Ordinary Law of Civil Procedure

Article 30 of the Code of Civil Procedure defines legal action from both the plaintiff's and the defendant's perspectives. For the initiator of a claim, the action is the right “to be heard on the merits of the claim so that the court may rule it well-founded or unfounded,” and for the opponent, it is the right “to challenge the merits of that claim” .
