The ordinary written procedure before the Judicial Court constitutes the default procedure (Art. 775 CPC). However, when the parties are exempt from instructing counsel, in accordance with the cases provided for in Article 761 of the Code of Civil Procedure, the procedure becomes oral, subject to the specific provisions applicable to the matters concerned (Art. 817 CPC).
